Mediview Announces New Clinical Advisory Board Member (Wehrle)

Mediview Announces New Clinical Advisory Board Member (Wehrle)

MediView is proud to announce the addition of Dr. Chase J. Wehrle to our Clinical Advisory Board as our first surgical expert focused on Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) and Liver Transplant surgery.

Dr. Wehrle currently practices at Cleveland Clinic, where he has obtained >$5M in research funding during his 4 years in Cleveland, publishing >140 peer-reviewed articles and >50 manuscripts as the lead author. He helps lead as part of the Cleveland Organ Assessment Hub (COAH), the Cleveland Clinic Transplant Research Center (TRC), and the clinical & translational research group in liver transplantation and HPB surgery. His leadership extends beyond the operating room, having served as the Founder and Chair of the Resident & Fellow Committee for the Central Surgical Association and as a Primary Investigator for multiple innovation awards at the Cleveland Clinic and beyond. He is a named Subject Matter Expert in transplantation and machine Perfusion for IRCAD USA and serves on the Abu Dhabi National Biobank Scientific Advisory Board and Working Group.

Dr. Wehrle’s expertise will be instrumental in advancing MediView’s “X-ray vision” and augmented reality platforms, particularly through his deep experience in precision oncology and transplant innovation. He has been a pioneer in the clinical application of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) for disease monitoring and has led significant international studies on the safety and efficacy of histotripsy for liver tumors. His work in transplant oncology—including the development of novel protocols for downstaging colorectal liver metastases (CRLM) prior to transplantation—perfectly aligns with MediView’s mission to enhance surgical targeting and intraoperative navigation. We are confident that Dr. Wehrle’s integration of interventional and transplant oncology, precision medicine, and medtech innovation will help bring a new era of precision to HPB Surgery.
