Professional Experience:
Dr. Cornelis is an accomplished interventional radiologist with a specialized focus in neurointerventional oncology and cancer imaging. His clinical expertise spans a wide range of procedures, including image-guided interventions for both adult and pediatric patients, with a particular emphasis on the treatment of abdominal, spine, bone, and soft tissue tumors through advanced techniques like percutaneous ablation. Dr. Cornelis has also been instrumental in developing and refining image-guided techniques for treating metastatic bone fractures and various neurointerventions for head and neck tumors.
Dr. Cornelis holds an extensive educational background, beginning with his medical degree from the University of Bordeaux in 2003, followed by an MS in Radiophysics from Université Toulouse III Paul Sabatier. He further advanced his expertise with a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the Institut de Mathématiques de Bordeaux and a DSC in Medicine from Université Pierre et Marie Curie, Sorbonne University. His postgraduate training includes residencies in radiology and interventional radiology at the University of Bordeaux, along with a research fellowship at the Sloan Kettering Institute in New York.
