Classroom Solutions
Immersive Education with 3D Visualization
AR is permitting students to visualize and interact with 3D data and imaging in new ways never before possible. The ability to visualize medical imaging in 3D has been shown to improve medical student learning, retention, test scores and understanding of complex 3D anatomy. Using AR in surgery has been shown to materially change surgical planning in 33% or more cases.
MediView’s augmented reality solutions enables a new dimension of hands-on learning of anatomy and image guided procedures.
Remote Collaboration & Learning
Through the use of an AR headset, MediView’s technology can connect multiple students, their instructors, or external practitioners, and allow them to have a first-person viewpoint of the training environment or procedure through any internet-connected device (mobile phone, tablet, PC, etc.). This enables them to actively engage in the procedure and offer voice and video guidance as they view integrated ultrasound imaging.
In addition, the remote viewer can annotate directly on the training environment by giving visual directions that show up in 3D within the caregiver’s field of view.
